Can the kitchen open onto the living room?

Yes. I would take that wall down and add a counter. Proposal coming today.

Great, thanks.

— FAQ

Questions about commercial design online

What people ask before opening or remodeling a business space.

I have an opening date. Is there time?

Put the date in the brief. Every proposal gives a timeline per phase and you compare who can deliver on time.

Does the design meet code and fire marshal requirements?

The permit set and a licensed professional can be part of the proposal. Say the type of business in the brief, because the requirements change with the use.

Do I need an architect or an interior designer?

If there's construction, building systems or permits, an architect. If the space is built out and the focus is layout, branding and furniture, a designer. The proposals show who answers each case.

How much does a commercial design cost?

Posting your project is free. Every pro sends their own proposal with a price and a timeline. You pay per phase, as you sign off on each deliverable.

Can the design follow my brand guidelines?

Yes. Attach the brand book or photos of other locations to the brief and the pro designs from it.
