Plan
Every page the atelier carries under Plan.
- SelectVSelect takes elements of the plan into your hands: a click takes what you point at, Shift adds or removes, Alt takes what lies beneath, and a box takes many at once. What is selected opens its panel on the right, and every other verb, from Move to Delete, acts on it.
- MoveMMove carries elements of the plan from a base point to where you drop it, or by a distance you type. Held with Ctrl it leaves a copy instead, and typing x and a number after a copy repeats it as an array.
- RotateQRotate turns elements of the plan about a center you click, by the angle between a reference point and a third point, or by degrees you type. Held with Ctrl it turns a copy and keeps the original.
- ScaleSLScale grows or shrinks the layout of what you hold about a base point, by the ratio between a reference length and the new length you show, or by a factor you type. Held with Ctrl it scales a copy and keeps the original.
- MirrorIMirror reflects what you hold across a line you give with two clicks. Held with Ctrl it keeps the original and places the reflected copy beside it; with a single window or door it places a mirrored copy across a point on its own wall.
- WallWWall draws walls on the plan as a chain: each wall is an axis between two clicks, or between a click and a length you type, with the thickness of the wall type chosen beside the tools. An end you put on another wall's end joins it, and each wall enters the project exactly as you drew it.
- Curved wallWCCurved wall draws a wall along an arc: you click its start and its end, then a point the arc passes through, or type its radius. Like the straight wall it chains, joins other walls' ends and takes the thickness of the wall type you choose.
- Wall jointsA wall joint is a point where walls meet, and selected walls show a grip on each one. Dragging a grip carries every wall meeting there, Alt held leaves that joint behind, and the joint's panel takes typed coordinates, lengths and angles.
- OpeningOOpening places a window, a door or a passage in a wall with one click, from the family chosen beside the tools. The opening is centered where you click along the wall, and its size, sill and swing are then set in its panel.
- RoomRRoom names a space the walls enclose: one click inside it is enough, and the room's outline and area are read from the walls around that point. Its name, its program and its ceiling height are then set in its panel.
- StairTStair draws a stair by its walk line: you click its foot, any turns, then walk on until the treads reach the next level and press Enter. Its walk line, its winders and how it is built are then edited in its panel.
- ColumnCColumn places a column with one click, centered where the magnet holds the cursor, with the section chosen beside the tools. Its section and its angle can then be changed in its panel.
- BeamBBeam draws a beam between two clicks, with the section chosen beside the tools, spanning under the ceiling of the level. Its ends join other beams' ends the way walls join, and its size is then set in its panel.
- RoofRoof places a roof on the level open on the plan: you click the corners of its footprint, or press Enter at once for a roof that follows the level's walls. Its form, its edges, its pitches and its dormers are then set in its panel.
- Electrical deviceEElectrical device places an outlet, a switch, a light, a data point or another device of your template with one click, on a wall or inside a room. The circuits are not drawn by hand: the studio groups the devices into circuits and lays their runs from the electrical panel by itself.
- Electrical panelEBElectrical panel places the board the circuits start from: a click on a wall puts it there, and once the phase has one, a click moves it and every circuit follows. Ctrl and a click adds another panel instead.
- Plumbing pointHPlumbing point places a supply or a waste point with one click, on a wall or in a room's floor. The pipes are not drawn by hand: the supply runs from the manifold or the meter and the drains to the nearest stack are laid by themselves.
- Drain stackHSDrain stack places the vertical pipe the waste water falls down, with one click where it stands. Every waste point of a level then drains to the nearest stack, through a network the studio lays by itself.
- Water meterHMWater meter places the point the water supply starts from: a click on a wall puts it there, and once the phase has one, a click moves it and the supply follows. Ctrl and a click adds another meter instead.
- Air terminalAVAir terminal places the points of the ventilation and the air conditioning with one click, on a ceiling or near a wall: exhausts, supplies, window inlets, fans, hoods and indoor units. The ducts and the refrigerant lines are not drawn by hand: the studio lays them to the unit by itself.
- Ventilation unitAUVentilation unit places the unit the ducts run to, with one click in a room; once the phase has one, a click moves it there and its ducts follow. Ctrl and a click adds another unit instead.
- Outdoor unitAOOutdoor unit places the air conditioning's unit outside, with one click on an outside wall; once the phase has one, a click moves it there. Every indoor unit's refrigerant lines and condensate then run to the nearest outdoor unit by themselves.
- PipePUPipe draws a pipe by hand between two clicks, in the system chosen beside the tools: cold water, hot water, drainage or rain. Its ends join other pipes of the same system, and its diameter and slope are set in its panel.
- RiserKRiser places a vertical stack through every level with one click: a cold and hot water supply, or a storm drain. Its systems are chosen beside the tools before the click.
- FixtureFFixture places a basin, a WC, a shower, a sink, a bath or another fixture of your template with one click inside a room. A fixture is architecture: the plumbing starts at its own points, placed with the Plumbing point tool.
- SectionXSection places a cut line on the plan with one click, vertical or horizontal and looking the way chosen beside the tools. Each cut line opens its own section view, and its label, position and direction are edited in its panel.
- GridAGrid places a structural axis: parallel to a line you click, at a distance you show or type, or through a point toward a second point or a typed angle. Walls, columns and every other tool snap to it, and the sections and elevations carry it.
- DimensionDDimension places a measured line on the plan in three clicks: the two points it measures, then where the line sits. Its value is always measured from the points, never typed.
- GuideGGuide places a construction line: parallel to a face or a line you click, at a distance you show or type, or through a point toward a second point or a typed angle. Every tool snaps to guides and their crossings, and guides never enter the project.
- TerrainTOTerrain draws the limit of the surveyed field by its corners, then lays a survey grid inside it and opens the terrain so you can type each point's measured height. The ground is measured, never sculpted: its shape comes only from those heights.
- Slab holeA slab hole is an opening cut by hand in a level's floor slab, square or round, for a shaft, a chute or a well a stair does not make by itself. It is started from the slab's panel and drawn on the plan in two clicks.
- CalloutNCallout boxes a region of a plan, a section or an elevation with two clicks and makes it a view of its own: the same region drawn again larger, at 1:20 unless you choose another scale. The view it comes from keeps a dashed box and a bubble that names the callout and the sheet it is placed on.
- Foundation editorVLPMThe foundation editor redraws a level's footings by hand: continuous footings drawn point to point along their axis, spread footings placed one by one, and the usual editing tools to move, copy, rotate, mirror, offset, trim, extend and fillet them. Everything you do is a draft, and only Done hands it to the model, which checks it before writing.
